Home

Welcome to the home of a relatively new theatre company, King's Players.  Our first production was In the Company of de Sade at the DC Fringe Festival in July 2012.  A raunchy comedy, this was the perfect Fringe show at Redrum, an extremely distinctive DC Fringe venue.  Our second show, Mme. Macbeth, was performed as part of Fringe 2013 and we were back home in Redrum.  The following year, our show was Malevolence, an original drama, performed at Goethe Institut - Mainstage.  We returned for Capital Fringe 2015 with a new comedy, MacWHAT?!, performed at Lab II at Atlas.  MacWHAT?! was named Favorite Comedy, Favorite Ensemble, Favorite Show, and 3 mentioned for Favorite Performances from DC Metro Theater Arts Capital Fringe Honors.  Check it out here!   ...and a Ghost Grrl, another original comedy, this time with music, was our production for Fringe 2016, performed at Trinidad Theater and then in Frederick's East Street Arts Center for two more performances (thanks, Landless!).

For Fringe 2017, we will revisit the show that started it all: In the Company of de Sade, which will be our last Fringe production. Performances will be at the Trinidad Theatre in July (see dates and times above.)

The company that brought you MacWHAT?! and In the Company of de Sade brings you something new: a comedy for the whole family.  Pretty much.

In this new comedy with music, Sydney loves Aria.  Aria loves Zoe.  When Aria suddenly dies in an accident, Sydney tells everyone that she and Aria were in a relationship.  Aria comes back.  As a ghost.  And she is pissed.  Meanwhile, Sydney’s mother, Andrea, and Andrea’s best friend, Danielle, have a secret of their own.  How about Sydney’s dad, Adam?  And who the heck is Derek?

We were a Pick of the Fringe 2015!
It's "irreverent" and "outrageous."
